Wheatley Golf Club is situated in the middle of Doncaster approximately 1 mile from the famous Doncaster Racecourse - home of the St Leger. The Golf Club moved to its present site in 1934 and was designed by the famous architect George Duncan. The course measures 6405 yards from the medal tees with a par of 71, it winds its way through tree lined fairways of silver birch, beech and Scots pines. Broom and gorse are prevalent on this flat, sand based course. The Golf Club has hosted many Sheffield Union and Yorkshire Union events over the years and is renowned for the high standards of presentation of the greens. Visitors are always welcome, the 1st & 10th tees are adjacent to the clubhouse making it an ideal venue for visiting Societies and Corporate Days. After your round you can relax in the clubhouse and dine in the elegant restaurant with panoramic views which overlook areas of the course, in particular the 9th & 18th greens.
