Junior Section
Junior golfers are very welcome at Wheatley Golf Club, and over the years the success of the junior section owes much to those members who have undertaken the responsibility of Junior Organiser
Fred Sumner was one of the first to develop the Junior Section and set the standard for Junior Golf at Wheatley GC.
Fred won the Sir Henry Cotton Award for meritorious service to junior golf

- Rebecca Hudson - Ladies European Tour Professional
- Kerry Haigh - USA Ryder Cup Team Director
Are just a few past juniors who benefited form Fred's contribution to Junior Golf.
Later names we remember are Roger Hobson and Trevor Callender. Gary Wall and Jeff Wilkinson have just recently taken over joint responsibility as Junior Organiser.
We also offer youngsters between 8 and 11 years old the chance to join the Wheatley Golf Club Junior Scholarship where they can obtain excellent tuition for their future golfing years.
